At the turn of the century, animals were a necessary and natural part of everyday life in Åsen. Many of the brees that existed then are now threatened with extinction, and we are currently working with breed societies and gene banks to preserve these native Swedish breeds. On the Åsen farm safari, you can accompany the animal keeper and get acquainted with the old native Swedish breeds: red polled cows, Gute sheep, Dala-fur sheep, Öland chickens, Linderöd pigs and Gotland rabbits.

• The tour can be booked during the summer half of the year
• The walk is mainly on footpaths (may include trails)
