Visit Sweden’s first cultural reserve

Welcome to Åsens By

– the village where time stood still

Travel back to the year 1900 and experience life in a Småland village.

Here, you can wander around on your own, stay overnight, or take part in various activities. The food served at the table is, just like in the past, guided by the seasons and the availability of ingredients, and in the farm shop, you will find locally processed products and crafts for sale. During the summer months, animals of Swedish heritage breeds graze in the old cultivated landscape.
